The iconic coffee shop chain commissions Tétris to fit out one of its premises in Barcelona.
Costa Coffee is a British coffee shop chain, the largest in the UK and the second largest in the world behind Starbucks. Costa Coffee was founded in London in 1971 by two Italian brothers, Sergio and Bruno Costa. In 1995, the Whitbread company, a British hospitality business, acquired Costa Coffee, which is currently based in Dunstable in the English county of Bedfordshire. One of the brand’s distinguishing features is the fact that it serves coffee from carefully selected, hand-sourced beans which are 100% Rainforest Alliance certified. These beans come from what Costa Coffee dubs the “Bean Belt,” meaning 70 different countries located between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, running along the Equator.
